Formed in 1995, SPUNK comprises hcmf// Composer in Residence Maja S K Ratkje, Hild Sofie Tafjord, Lene Grenager and Kristin Andersen. Taking their name from a word invented by anarchic fictional children’s heroine Pippi Longstocking, the quartet have improvised freely in countless conventional concert halls, but have also been involved in some more unusual projects.
