Revolutionaries is a new initiative delivered in partnership with The Media Centre, aiming to showcase new work, new talent and new thinking by providing a platform for the best young creative talent in Kirklees.

As part of Revolutionaries, HCMF is hosting a series of Laptop Revolutions at The Media Centre in the build up to HCMF 2008, showcasing emerging musicians working with music technology and electroacoustic music.

If you're aged 16-25 and live in the Kirklees area you could have the opportunity to showcase your music at one of these live events, in association with the UK's premier festival of new music.

A selection of performers from the first two events will then be invited to perform at a final, recorded event on Thursday 20 November, on the eve of HCMF itself.

To apply to perform at Laptop Revolutions, please send:

• A proposal for a 10-minute set
• Some original audio material
• A photo of you performing
